Procreate tutorial: How to digitally colour flower petals (plus swatch file)

I use the app Procreate to draw adult colouring pages, and more recently, to digitally colour them in.

In this video, I take one of my most recent doodles (a future colouring page exclusive to my Creative Happy Life Club members) and show you how I achieved a basic flower petal aesthetic using my iPad, Apple Pencil and the Procreate app.

Heads up! I am NOT a trained artist, I literally just love to play around in this app and hope that my little tutorials will help you along on your own Procreate journey. Let’s learn together.

I’m planning to create more videos like this, geared towards people in the adult colouring community that enjoy digital colouring or simply want to learn how to get started, and I’ve recently started a brand spankin’ new Facebook group for Procreate colourists – yassss! Feel free to join that and post a video tutorial request, ask for help, or simply share your Procreate masterpieces.

Video tutorial: How to colour flower petals using Procreate app

This video walks through every step I take to achieve the flower petal aesthetic that I have on my Fairy House illustration.

I’ve also included the Procreate colour palette swatch file (below) if you wanted to use the exact same colours featured in the video. However, don’t be afraid to choose your own!

Want to use the same colours as me? Here’s the swatch file for you. If you’re not sure how to import this into the Procreate app, my fellow Procreate addict Cristin April Frey has an excellent tutorial here.

Wanna come join my Facebook group for Procreate colourists?

Simply head to the Facebook group for Procreate colourists and request to join.

Feel free to submit a tutorial request, or ask any pressing questions you have, and I’ll aim to cover these topics in a future video. I can’t wait to help you on your colouring journey with Procreate. It really is the BEST app for digital art creation in my opinion!
